Naked bungy jumping in Nanaimo will be good for one's mental health

Nanaimo News Bulletin - 3/7/2020

No one will get arrested for jumping around naked this weekend, because it's all for a good cause.

Mental Health Recovery Partners South Vancouver Island, is holding naked bungy jumping, its biggest fundraising event of the year, this Saturday and Sunday, March 7-8, at WildPlay Element Parks in Nanaimo.

All funds raised will help provide life-saving mental health programs, including peer support and wellness recovery action plan programs, to people who need support and encouragement in their mental wellness journey.

The charitable event helps deliver MHRP's message that by having faith in one's self while relying on the support of others, people can overcome their fear of the unknown and raises money, eyebrows and awareness while reducing the stigma of mental illness by showcasing courage and action.

Registration for the 14th annual naked bungy jump is open now for participants 18 and older.

Special pre-registered rates to jump are $55, or jump for free by raising $200 or more in pledges before the event. All donations will be matched dollar for dollar up to $40,000.
