"DO IT YOURSELF" ENTRY --- PURPOSE: To enable individuals who use standard walkers to move across carpet and other surfaces without lifting the walker. To make the glides for a walker with front wheeled legs, cut a small "X" in a tennis ball and push leg of walker down into it. Make sure the ball is snug around the leg and does not slide when the user lifts the walker leg. Repeat for the second leg. MATERIALS: Tennis balls and walker. TOOLS: Sharp knife or scissors.
